A lunch staple is a major contributor to daily sodium intake… Want more info? Read More
For the past few weeks, I was craving a good Chicken Pot pie. Being that I am focusing on my health, I knew that the recipe I knew of was probably not the best choice for me… So the hunt began.
I am an avid user of the site Yummly. The site is a “one-stop-shop” for all recipes posted on the several sites that share recipes. One of the things I like the most about Yummly is the filters that are allowed. The filters (in my opinion) are designed to help anyone control for the things they want for their meals, i.e. calories, cholesterol, sodium, etc.
So if you have a chance… try it out. Maybe this can help you implement a new healthy meal each week or revamp one of your favorite meals to enjoy.
So the recipe I found for a Chicken Pot Pie involved serval things that I loved:
- Fresh Ingredients
- Slow Cooker (I love both of mine)
- Low calorie but filling…
Try out the recipe and let me know how you and your family enjoy the recipe!
Fall is here!
Starting a new or refined lifestyle can be very difficult to do. In order, to spark up my journey I decided to invest in a few pieces to motivate myself to stick with my plans and goals. I have loved the Danskin brand since I was a little girl in dance classes. I had no idea that they also made workout clothes, and believe it or not, at reasonable prices.
I will not physically set foot in a Walmart store anymore but online, you can enter Danskin heaven for workout clothes. I just wanted to showcase a few pieces here and also give some links to the items. *This article was written with no financial support or obligation to Danskin or Walmart.
Despite what some people may tell you, a healthy lifestyle is an investment but you don’t have to go broke. I am one of the people who likes to look nice but for less (if you get my drift). I can’t bring myself to spend $50 on a pair of pants or shirt to workout and sweat in. So instead I used this brand, and I have pieces from this collection that have lasted me for years with regular use, all while still looking new.
So to start, one of my favorite items Danskin offers:
These pants provide a warm, comfortable, and dry workout experience despite what type of activity you may decided to do. I also have these in a capri form as well, for the warmer months. This value bundle on the walmart website sells for $16.00. -____- I don’t think the price can be beat for this value. Here’s the link.
This was a new purchase for me. I am in need of some cold weather workout clothes. I of course, still wanted something that would keep me dry and warm during my workouts and this item seemed to meet the need. I’ll provide a review for this shirt after a few wears. This shirt retails for $7.96. Heres the link.
I also invested in another long sleeve shirt, this one is more of a performance fit.
This shirt retails for $8.96. Here’s the link.
Last but not least, we have all had the experience of a great workout with a good sweat and walking outside the gym or your home to only be freezing cold trying to make it to the car. I invested in a nice warm hoodie from the same line that is also sweat wicking, which makes it food to wear even after a great workout. The hoodie retailed for $13.86. Here’s the link.
I hope you all have enjoyed the posts and maybe look into doing something for yourself that will motivate your journey as I did with purchasing a few new pieces.
See you next week! Good luck this week for the challenge.
I got out to enjoy some air yesterday. This little one likes being out for walks. Luckily my complex offers a good view and nice walking area. Not my norm but who can deny this cute little guy a nice walk in the crisp fall air. #AEOctChallenge #Day1 #29moretogo
